Information
When your child was born or adopted, they became a member of your family. From birth, they were already a child of God! Baptism is God’s way for us to be immersed into the covenant community, the Church. A “covenant” is a relationship established by God with an individual or a group of people. Baptism is the Sacrament which concretely incorporates us into this covenant community we call the Church or the Body of Christ.
Baptisms can happen during most worship services. While we typically avoid festival Sundays, baptisms may easily be scheduled for any Saturday evening service.
For more information, please contact the church office at 715-234-9028 or fill out a Baptism Request Form on the right.
At Bethany, we celebrate many milestones throughout each child’s faith journey. A faith milestone is a marker along life’s journey that says, “This is something important and God is here too.”
We celebrate the following Milestones:
Baptism, Bibles, Communion, Blessing of the Backpacks, Confirmation, Baccalaureate (High School Senior Recognition)
Our nursery is located on the main level, near the carport entrance.
The nursery is available for use during worship, but it is not staffed at this time. It is intended for children birth to age 5. The nursery is stocked with safe and age appropriate toys, books and so much more! Located in the nursery is a child-sized bathroom as well as a changing table/diapers/wipes.
Classes are offered for students 3 years-5th grade.
Preschool (ages 3 & up): Our preschool class use Frolic Preschool Bible and explore each story for two weeks at a time. Each lesson contains Bible stories and fun crafts.
Kindergarten-5th Grades: The K-5th grade classes dive deep into Bible stories with Spark: Activate Faith. Classes will explore the same Bible story for three-four weeks. The K-5th grade classes explore stories through different workshops each week such as cooking, science, art and more.
Open to all children ages 4 – 5th grade.
One week only every summer and open to the entire community. During our 4-day adventure, kids learn about Jesus. VBS is filled with unforgettable Bible experiences. Kids will see, hear, touch and even taste!
Visit our VBS page and be on the look-out for more information regarding our next VBS week!
Middle School Confirmation (Here We Stand)
Confirmation program for 6th-8th grade students
Generally meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Here We Stand (HWS) utilizes both small and large group activities and discussion. Topics of discussion for this year will come from the Old Testament. Each Wednesday, HWS will have a 15 minute icebreaker/introduction, 30 minutes of small group discussion and a 15 minute closing. During the year, we will also learn ways to respond to God’s unconditional love through serving the church, community and the world.
Club 9 is the Confirmation ministry for the 9th grade class at Bethany. It is a mix of activities, experiences and discussions to encourage all to grow deeper in their faith. Club 9 has been designed to enrich the confirmation experience by helping youth to:
* Develop a supportive relationship with an adult member of Bethany who is not a relative.
* Discover opportunities for involvement within the congregation that might otherwise be overlooked.
* Develop a sense of Christian discipleship.
Club 9 meets monthly during the school year (September – May). Meetings are typically the second Sunday of the month. Youth and mentors worship together at the 10:00 a.m. service with the meeting following from approximately 11:15 a.m. to no later than 12:30 p.m.
