The Safely Regathering Task Force welcomes the new year of 2021 with optimism, as we watch the distribution of the Covid vaccine to our highest risk heros and vulnerable brothers and sisters.

In looking back nearly a year to when this coronavirus emerged, we are grateful for all we have learned and the remarkable development of safe and effective vaccines. And now, we watch hopefully as the data we have been monitoring show promise of improvement.

We know we must continue to learn how to co-exist with this virus and its variants, along with making choices for continuing Bethany’s ministry along the safety spectrum. We are like you and are eager to return to “normal.” The task force is fortunate to have a strong relationship with Barron County Public Health officials, and are utilizing the excellent guidance available from the Wisconsin Council of Churches and other government and faith-based resources, as we prepare for a phased relaxation of our current Phase 1 “Safer at Home” guidelines. Watch the 411 for more about this.

In the meantime, more and more evidence points to the effective and simple recommendations of wearing masks effectively, keeping a safe distance, avoiding risky gatherings, washing hands often, protecting general health with a flu vaccination and being prepared to get a Covid vaccination when able.
