It may be helpful to think of YFM as a tree...

• Roots    There are 4 roots that support the tree:
  • Caring Conversation
  • Devotion
  • Service
  • Rituals/Traditions
    
    
• Trunk   The trunk of the tree is the main YFM Board, composed of 10 people, supporting the "Branches" by looking for areas to be more effective and assuring that we are remaining faithful to the mission of YFM as well as the mission of Bethany.
  
  
• Branches  There are four branches, or teams, each composed of 5 to 6 people, including one Bethany staff member. The branches are responsible for scheduling events and ministries for their respective age-based groups. The branches also recruit volunteers to plan and facilitate each of the scheduled events. Ideally, a calendar of events for the following school year would be set in the preceding spring. The four specific branches are:
  • Infant/Toddler
  • Grade School
  • High School
  • Adult
    
    
• Twigs  These represent the people involved in planning and running specific events or ministries.
  
  
• Leaves  These are the people participating in events or ministries.
  
  
• Fruit  This is the result of all the work of the tree. Hopefully, it will nourish those who are close to the tree as well as those who happen to be walking by.
